My name is Alex Leiphart and this blog started in August 2009. The point of this website and blog is for me to be able to share my thoughts and feelings with the world and for you to benefit from them. I want to empower individuals to do be inspired by my work and go off and do the same.

If you haven’t already figured out, I like doing things that will benefit others, whether I know about it or not. Starting to blog is probably one of the best choices made in my life. Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in May of 2009 gave me inspiration to start blogging about diabetes and the “newly diagnosed” as well. Thus the birth of a blog that I have not launched yet and will give further information about later.

Since birth, I have been interested in technology and how things work. Having had my own computer since age 5, I designed logos and created make-believe restaurants and showed a creative side of me very early on. To this day, I am still very interested in technology and have gone on to learn web design and video production skills.

Many of you might still be new to the whole “blogging” thing. Honestly, I didn’t know about this until just a few years ago. According to the dictionary.com, the definition of blogging is:
